We were stoked when Fox released their most current 2025 Fox Transfer post. The post is easily serviceable and has adjustable travel. See what one of our customers thinks of the post!

Overview

I’ve been using the Fox Transfer Factory Dropper Post for just over a month, and so far, it’s been an awesome experience. I ride mostly aggressive trails and enduro, so I need components that can handle abuse and still perform consistently. The Transfer has done exactly that smooth operation, dependable performance, and no surprises.

Installation was refreshingly straightforward. I expected to spend a while getting the cable tension right, but the setup went smoother than I thought it would. Everything fit together neatly, and the routing made sense. Within about twenty minutes, the post was installed, adjusted, and ready to go. No weird quirks or frustrations, which was a nice change compared to some of the posts I’ve used before.

Once I hit the trail, I could immediately feel the difference. Actuation is incredibly smooth, the post drops quickly and quietly, and when it comes back up, it does so with just the right amount of speed. There’s no harsh snap, no lag, and no play. It feels predictable in the best way. I’ve used it on long, rough rides and on short sessions at my local trails, and the performance has been consistent every time.

The Kashima coating is classic Fox; it looks sharp, but more importantly, it gives the post a really slick feel. Whether that’s from the coating itself or the internal design, the result is a post that feels refined without feeling delicate. After several rides in wet, dusty, and rocky conditions, it’s still smooth and silent, which says a lot.

Before this, I was running a KS dropper, and the difference has been pretty noticeable. The KS worked fine when it was new, but it became unreliable over time occasional sticking, some sag, and inconsistent return speed. The Fox has been the opposite: consistent from day one. I haven’t had to touch it or think about it since installing it, which is exactly what I want from a dropper.

Reliability is really what stands out most to me. When you’re in the middle of a technical section or setting up for a descent, you don’t want to be wondering if your dropper will cooperate. With the Transfer, I just hit the lever and know what to expect every single time. It’s the kind of part that fades into the background; you forget it’s there because it just works.

After a month of riding, I honestly don’t have anything negative to say. Maybe down the road I’ll need to service it, but so far it’s been solid and consistent through everything I’ve thrown at it. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but if you value reliability and smooth operation, it’s a great piece of equipment to have on your bike.

Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a dependable dropper that can handle aggressive riding without fuss, the Fox Transfer Factory is hard to beat. Not flashy, not complicated, just reliable performance, ride after ride.
