There are plenty of tools to choose from when it comes to maintaining your bike. For some people, any old shock pump will do the job but having a good pump makes the task much easier. Our friend Anthony shares his experience with the Fox Factory High-Pressure Digital Shock Pump. Check it out!
The Fox Factory High-Pressure Digital Shock Pump is a HUGEEEE upgrade over my past one that had the old school circular pressure gauge where it was always a pain to get the PSI right and really get the detail needed. With this device, you can dial the PSI to 0.5 PSI and they also did a great job making it easy to release some pressure using the conveniently located release button that doesn't let out pressure too fast.
When you're spending $1000+ on your suspension, it makes sense to get your PSI to a more exact measurement than you can get with other shock pumps. I don't typically ride with this pump but it could easily fit into a small backpack/camelback but it may be a bit too long for a fanny (it's 11.4 inches long when fully compressed).
This Fox pump has been everything I had hoped it would be and I anticipate the battery lasting a long time as it has an auto-off feature. Has a solid feel to it. One note for use (my understanding is that this is the case for all shock pumps): When ATTACHING a valve, you lose PSI so you shouldn't use attaching a shock pump and getting a reading of where your shock is at. When REMOVING a valve, there is not a decrease in shock PSI.
Happy Shredding 🤘
