For those currently riding Shimano XT brakes, there will soon come a time when a bleed is needed. While many people can do a quick top bleed by just using the cup, this does not replace fluid if it has heated up. When attempting to flush the system, it is critical that you take off the brake pads to avoid contamination. This is where the Shimano Bleed Block comes into play as it will sit in the caliper as a retainer for the pistons to avoid the contamination of the pads. There are two slots on either end that will fit right into the caliper where the rotor fits as well as a tab with a hole at the top that you can put the pad axle through to keep it in place. This is a small but necessary item when it comes to bleeding Shimano 2-piston brakes.
The DT Swiss 54t ratchet kit works as an upgrade kit to your 350, 240, and180 rear hub. Most DT Swiss stock hubs come with an 18t ratchet inside, only giving you 18 points of engagement as you make an entire rotation of the cranks. For reference, 18t ratchets will give you 20 degrees of engagement, while the 54t upgrade kit gives you 6.66 degrees of engagement. That is a pretty huge improvement. We can safely say that once your ride a bike with higher engagement, you will never want to go back. This kit is just $99 and might just be the deal of the century.

The small, but mighty Lumina Micro 850 by NiteRider. This bright little light is perfect for a helmet mounted setup since it’s lightweight and doesn’t carry any bulk. It pushes out 850 lumens (duh, it’s in the name) in a narrow beam, making it more suitable for placing it on your helmet and pointing where you’re looking. It recharges via USB using NiteRider’s Intellicharge technology, which they claim reduces charge time by half. Riders can choose from 5 different modes and it boasts an hour and a half of on-time while at full brightness. One final neat feature is the lock which prevents the light from accidentally turning on. Now you don’t have to worry about losing charge while commuting to the trail!

Rear shock in need of some refreshing? Chances are if you have a Fox shock you will be needing this kit at some point. The Fox Shox air sleeve rebuild kit comes with everything you need from dust wipers to the two quad rings, to the backup rings and any other pieces you might need. This kit will have your shock feeling like new in no time. Similar to when you change the oil in your car, you should do the same with your shocks! If your travel indicator ring (or funometer) has become crusty or already broken off, you are most likely due for some new seals.
The Fox Shox Transfer Post remains our best selling dropper post, and for good reason. This post has been the most reliable dropper post so far, backed by Fox who arguably makes some of the best suspension for mountain bikes, and comes in the flashy, baller Kashima coated color. What is there not to like? Coming in 100, 125 & 150mm of travel, and available in 30.9 and 31.6 diameter options, there is most likely a post that will fit your bike! Also available in the all black performance elite model, if you ask most employees at our shop, they have or are currently riding this post :)
