First off, I have to say that I have been very impressed with Worldwide Cyclery's service. They have a great selection of items and every order ships fast and free. There is also a discount card included with every purchase. That's a great strategy for them to draw repeat customers and, of course, it's a great deal for us! Their customer service is also very strong. On occasion, I have had to deal with their service reps and have always been quite pleased with their response.
I recently made a large order to upgrade my cyclocross/gravel bike (Felt F3x). I purchased Easton carbon flat-top aero bars, DT hubs, rims, and spokes to build some custom wheels, along with cassette, valves, and rim tape. Unfortunately, the DT 350 hubs that I bought were 10 speed rather than the 11 speed I had meant to buy. This was, of course, my fault, though I think I can offer some excuse in that the listing did not make very clear that I was looking at the 10-speed version. Anyway, I called to ask about returning the hub and was kindly directed to the return slip on their website. I chose the store credit option which actually gives you the item value plus $5. That paid for my return shipping! I was then able to buy the correct hub and a couple other small things to finish up my project.
I also received a separate email from the service team asking how I felt about the recent order and asking if, since it was a large order, I would be willing to take a free t-shirt. I explained my return situation and asked if they would put a t-shirt in the box with my next order. When the next one arrived, there was my free t-shirt plus some stickers. This is again some great marketing strategy for the company.
The shipping on the orders I have gotten from WWC have always been packed well with no damage to the items. They take about three days to get to me in Kansas and the $0 price tag is always great. The items have always come as described in proper packaging and in good shape. I seriously cannot say enough good things about this company. The fact that they have physical stores as well as the online presence is definitely a plus. Their service reps are friendly and down-to-earth. They have great stuff at great prices. I will absolutely continue to shop with them in the future!
