When Yeti released the 160E, it made waves for being one of the few full-power eMTBs that actually rode like a proper mountain bike. It was fast, composed, and backed by a race-proven Sixfinity suspension system. The new Yeti LTe takes that concept and builds on it with smarter integration, more power, updated geometry, and a quiet, dialed ride. This is not just a new version of the 160E. The new Yeti LTe is a more refined platform that is built around Bosch’s latest Gen 5 drive unit.
The biggest shift is the move to Bosch’s new Performance Line CX and CX Race motor systems. Both deliver 100Nm of torque and up to 750W of peak power, but the CX Race (spec’d on the T4 build) offers a snappier, race-oriented feel with reduced weight. Paired with Bosch’s 800Wh Powertube battery and new Kiox 400C display, the system is intuitive and fast. For a lot of riders out there, a huge upgrade that this system gives is a quiet ride. Gone are the days of motor rattle and with Yeti’s cable integration, the LTe is as dialed and quiet as a Yeti deserves to be.
Speed sensors and remote are now fully wireless. Cable clutter is gone, and ride data is displayed cleanly on a full-color screen. It’s a massive improvement over previous setups, and riders coming from the EP8-equipped 160E will immediately notice smoother torque delivery and smarter response under load and zero motor rattle. This new Gen 5 system is truly dialed. There is also an aftermarket option for the 250Wh Bosch PowerMore Range extender to get up to 1050wh of battery on a single charge!
Sixfinity remains the standout feature on Yeti’s eMTBs. But here, it’s been re-tuned for the Bosch system’s characteristics. The LTe uses lower anti-squat at sag compared to the 160E, allowing the powerful motor to work more freely while maintaining support where you need it. Braking is consistent thanks to a linear anti-rise curve, which helps the bike stay composed on steep, rough descents.
Like before, progression is adjustable via a flip chip with three settings—25, 30, or 35 percent. Whether you prefer a more linear feel or want more bottom-out resistance, you can tailor the suspension to suit your terrain and shock setup.
Compared to the 160E, the LTe’s geo gets a subtle but effective update. Reach increases by 5mm per size, the head angle slackens to 64 degrees, and stack height is increased with longer head tubes. These changes mirror Yeti’s SB160, offering more stability at speed without compromising handling.
The LTe is available in both 29 and MX configurations. A flip chip adjusts for the smaller rear wheel without affecting geometry, so riders can switch setups easily. There’s also support for aftermarket reach and angle adjust headset cups.
Every LTe shares the same T-Series carbon frame with Vectran reinforcement, Sixfinity suspension system, and Bosch Gen 5 motor platform. All builds include an 800Wh Bosch Powertube battery, Kiox 400C display, wireless mini remote, and Reverb AXS dropper.

Yeti’s recently released MTe is built around the TQ motor system for lightweight assist. It shares visual DNA with the LTe but targets a different rider, someone who wants less power, less weight, and a more analog feel.
The LTe, by contrast, is unapologetically full power. It’s made for riders who want to push hard, go long, and take advantage of every watt the motor can offer. Where the MTe rewards finesse, the LTe rewards momentum.
The 160E laid the groundwork, but the LTe makes a clear case as a true replacement. The motor is stronger and better integrated, the suspension is more refined, and the geometry has been modernized without going extreme. It still rides like a Yeti should, fast, confident, and responsive, but now with more polish and a silent ride.
Battery weight and system complexity haven’t increased, and the bike still sits around 51.5 pounds across all builds. What’s new is how much better it uses that weight and power and that sweet satisfaction of only hearing rubber on the trails.
The Yeti LTe is the brand’s most complete and powerful eMTB yet. It carries forward the 160E’s strengths, but updates the motor system, suspension tune, and ride quality in meaningful ways. It’s built for speed, but doesn’t require a race plate to appreciate.
If you’re after a full-power bike that doesn’t feel like a tank or compromise on ride feel, this is it. The LTe blends race-ready performance with day-to-day rideability in a way that few other bikes in this category manage.
