Push Industries followed the success of the suspension tuning companies in the motocross industry and set out with a similar business model and goal: to provide customers with the best suspension tuning service available for their mountain bikes. The company was founded in 2003 by Darren Murphy and his wife and they have been tuning mountain bike suspension ever since. With plenty of knowledge and experience, Push Industries has created their own shock, the ElevenSix. Let’s take a look at the ElevenSix shock and what sets it apart from its competitors like RockShox, Cane Creek, and Fox.
To start with, this shock features a coil over damper with a remote reservoir that is specifically engineered and designed to suit the all-mountain/enduro rider. Bikes with travel in the 140mm-160mm range are where this shock will be most at home. Because this shock features two independent valves that are fully adjustable, the rider is able to adjust on the fly in order to achieve a maximum amount of plushness or firmness depending on the riders’ wants and needs. Another very impressive feature of this shock is that each one is specifically tuned to the rider based on frame, riding style, body weight, etc. The shock shows up at your doorstep with the recommended baseline tune so you can just throw that thing on and let her rip. The customer will not only have a custom tuned shock, but access to the tech who built the shock for any further assistance they might need. While the $1200 retail price might seem a bit steep compared to the rest of the market, Push Industries is doing things that no one else is, and with that comes a premium for such a high level of service.
A frame specific shock with a 450 pound-inch spring with a mount reducer kit weighs in at 825 grams. In comparison to the Cane Creek DB Coil, the Push ElevenSix shock is 135 grams lighter, although it does weigh slightly more than the Cane Creek DB Air, 225 grams heavier to be exact. Push Industries is very proud to say that each shock is assembled using 100% US-sourced raw materials, something that has become almost extinct in the MTB industry. Every product is hand assembled and made custom to order. With over thirty thousand forks and shocks serviced over the years, one can assume that Push has all of the knowledge and then some to deliver the exact shock you need. We are an official Push Industries dealer so if you are interested in purchasing a ElevenSix rear shock, just shoot us a message and we are more than happy to help get the process started. We have already helped a few customers out in getting an ElevenSix shock for their bike and would love to help anyone who is interested in getting one, or just wants to know more about the shock.
