With big brands like Fox and and Rockshox owning the world of mountain bike suspension, it is quite refreshing to see a powerful contender come from a brand like DVO. All DVO suspension is designed, engineered, and proven in California. Their product is assembled by hand and held to a tight quality control. With a brand built around tuneabilty, customer service, and technical support, DVO offers something special.
The DVO Diamond is DVO's premier Enduro single crown fork that they say is "for the riders by the riders." The Diamond is most known for its ease of tuneability. The Diamond's damper has external high speed compression, low speed compression, and rebound adjustments. One thing unique to DVO is their "Off The Top" adjustment. Off The Top allows you to adjust the preload on the negative air spring giving you the ability to adjust the sensitivity of the initial stroke. First set your positive air pressure to control the mid stroke support and bottom out resistance, then adjust the Off The Top to get the initial stroke dialed in.
DVO does a great job providing load of information on technical specifications, service videos, set-up guides, tuning guides, and a full range of spare parts at tech.dvosuspension.com. With information on recommended service intervals, videos on how to service fork seals and change bath oil, travel adjustments, base tunes, and more!
Cedric Gracia is a true legend in the mountain bike world and has been riding on DVO suspension for a few years now. Cedric started out with DVO riding the downhill world cup series and now can be found at a few enduro world series events and the Sea Otter classic. Being such a unique character, Cedric fits in with the DVO brand and is a serious shredder on the bike.
