Employee Spotlight: Max Morgan - Our World Cup Racing Employee

About Max Morgan:

Max Morgan does a lot of behind the scenes stuff for Worldwide Cyclery. From website work and testing products, to writing blogs on tips from pros. Max can do that because he actually races pro currently on the World Cup circuit and locally in the United States at events like the Pro GRT series, Windrock Bike Park, and many more. With over 10 years racing pro, testing products, and traveling the world, we think Max has enough background to provide a unique perspective on mountain bike parts. Oh, he also has a degree's in Mechanical Engineering and Physics, so that might also add to how legit his reviews and pro tips are. Max brings some pro-level legitimacy to Worldwide Cyclery and we are lucky to get his World Cup perspective.

Job Title: Technical Editor

What is your favorite part about working at Worldwide Cyclery: The core group of people here at Worldwide all share a common passion for having fun on bikes. Everyone here likes to have fun, but when it's time to get work done, everyone plays their role.

If you could ride any bike in our Worldwide showroom, it would be: I wouldn't mind taking the Yeti SB150 for a test ride.

Favorite place to ride a bike: My favorite place to ride is in Morzine, France. Morzine has some of the best trails in the world and is perfect for running downhill laps with friends. It's hard to stop smiling when riding in Morzine.

Favorite non MTB activity: I enjoy getting out and playing ice hockey. I grew up playing hockey and so it is always fun when you can get out on the rink with some friends.

What is the craziest thing you've ever done: I feel like a real softy trying to think of the craziest thing I've ever done. I might have to go do something crazy and get back to you on that one.

Drink of choice: I could go for a beer from a brewery in Vermont called Switchback. Those do the trick.

You can usually catch me listening to: Lately, I've been listening to a lot of different comedians

Favorite line from a movie: I don't think I could narrow it down to one line from a particular movie, but I'm usually that guy quoting the entire movie while it's playing. Sorry, not sorry.

Typical weekend activities include: Riding my bike, getting out in the woods for a hike with my girlfriend Melanie and our black lab Harley, and watching some supercross on Saturday night.

Beer or Liquor: Beer. Liquor will sneak up on you when you aren't expecting

Tall socks or short socks: ABSOLUTELY tall socks. I feel more naked wearing ankle socks fully dressed than I do completely naked. It's hard not to laugh seeing all of the Worldwide videos of Jeff riding with short socks on.

Pineapple on Pizza; yes or no: Yes for sure. I think people that are so against pineapple on pizza might just have a problem with pizza.

You can eat one meal for the rest of your life, what is it: Get some rice going, some sauteed veggies, and maybe some sausage or protein of choice. Throw in some spices, a little salt, and pepper, and you're good to go.

If you could hang out with one person for a day (who doesn't have to be alive) who would it be and why:

It was hard to hear the passing of Kobe Bryant. What a true legend and inspiration to so many people. It would be cool to hang with Kobe and soak in everything possible. His motivation for trying to be the best he could be is infectious.

Name 3 things on your bucket list: Travel with my significant other to different places in Asia, drive an F1 car, build out my dream garage

Any words of wisdom, closing thoughts, or favorite sayings: Don't be afraid to step towards your fears so that you might overcome them. It's worth the risk.
