The Crank Brothers Stamp pedals are offered in multiple configurations, with a small and large platform, different spindle options, and bearing offerings. Here in this review, our customer Adam Batty talks about his Crank Brothers Stamp 3 Large platform pedals. Adam pairs his Stamp pedals with Five Ten Impact VXI shoes for maximum grip. Check it out.
The Crank Brothers Stamp 3 large pedals are a solid choice for those looking for a platform pedal with great grip and durability. I purchased these pedals to replace some worn out Chromag platform pedals that I thoroughly liked but always felt like my feet were slightly too big for them. I like a platform pedal that has a surface area to fit my entire width of the foot without being right up next to the cranks and these Crank Brothers do just that.
They are a perfect fit for my Five Ten Impact VXI shoes and have great grip on the soles. It’s extremely difficult to slip a pedal on these in my experience. I was also pleased with the way they felt on climbs. I think they stack up with any quality platform pedal on the market. They also offer a good number of traction screws/pins and layout options. I like to run a lot of screws/pins in my pedals and these offer that. So far, they’ve been durable on the few pedal strikes they’ve taken. Overall, I’m very pleased with these pedals. The pedals are surprisingly light for their size in my opinion. They also have a thinner profile than my previous platform pedals. The increased surface area of the large pedals have made a noticeable improvement in my feet fatigue especially during longer descents and sustained standing while riding.
