How To: Install a RockShox Reverb AXS Dropper Post [Video]

Overview

Installing a dropper seatpost is one thing, but what about installing RockShox's newest wireless dropper post, the Reverb AXS? Going wireless has many benefits but one of our favorites can be seen while working on the bike. No longer will mechanics have to deal with the annoying task of threading the dropper cable through the frame. Simply remove those old wires and drop in a fancy new Reverb AXS and you are good to go! In this video, Liam takes us step by step as he removes the stock Fox Transfer post in exchange for a Reverb AXS post from RockShox. Check it out!

1. Layout New Reverb AXS Parts

• Seatpost, controller, battery, charger & of course installation beer
• Tools needed, 4mm & t25

2. Measure current saddle height on the bike before removing dropper & seat

3. Begin removing current dropper and remote

• Remove remote & clip cable/housing
• Remove  dropper & take seat off
• Remove cable and housing from the bike, throw away!

4. Install saddle onto new reverb AXS post with T25 wrench

• Angle is adjusted with t25 “tilt” feature

5. Install controller

• Matchmaker for SRAM brakes, or stand-alone clamp if no matchmaker compatible

6. Put dropper into the frame

• Setup at previously measured saddle height
• Snug seat-post clamp, use torque wrench before riding to frame spec

7. Adjust saddle “tilt”

• Screw in t25 tilt screw until the saddle is at the desired angle

8. Pair controller and post

• Hit reverb AXS button until flashing green on the post to “open” pairing mode
• Then go to controller and hit AXS button
• Go back to post and hit AXS button until the green button turns off

9. Finish your beer and go ride!
