Troy Lee and TruVativ have worked together on collabs in the past and although they were fitting for the trends at the time, they were very flashy and didn’t really match anything. Things have changed with the newest collaboration between the two brands. A Handlebar and crankset will be offered in two colorways that are just flashy enough to hold true with the Troy Lee Design legacy, yet subtle enough to fit almost any bike on the market.
The TruVativ Descendant x Troy Lee Designs Collab Handlebar is designed around TruVativ’s existing handlebars whether it be carbon or alloy. Proven over the years, TruVativ has created a line of handlebars for any rider. Proven through countless World Cup races as well as an army of weekend warriors, the Descendant Handlebar has done it all, minus the classic TLD design we see on it today.
“The genius of good design manifests itself nicely in camo. Demure. Yet bold. For our latest collab, we tapped into the braintrust that is Troy Lee Designs. We handled the intel on the bar specs-our famous descendant geometry, built from input from our best riders-and troy handled the finishing touches. His dream: Hi-Tech Camo. Fit to be seen.” – TruVativ/SRAM
The TruVativ Descendant Carbon crank is arguably one of the cleanest looking carbon cranks on the market. Being a sister company to SRAM, you bet their carbon cranks were tested to perfection. The Crankset will be available in both a DH spindle sizing as well as a standard trail/enduro size so no rider is left behind. Best put by SRAM, “The Descendant carbon crankset uses a proprietary TRUVATIV carbon construction process that delivers a crankset light enough for XC, yet bold and badass enough for Enduro.”
The crankset is available in the same matching TLD Camo you saw on the handlebars just up the page! Whether you want to keep it subtle with a stealthy black and silver finish or completely color match your bike with that notorious Sram Red, TruVativ has you covered. The Crankset is also built around SRAM’s newest BB Standard, DUB, and leads to a better seal, longer duration, weight savings and ultimately the best performance you could hope for in a crankset.
