Overview

The SRAM Eagle 12 Speed Shifter is a must-have upgrade on any bike in my opinion. Not only is the weight less than the entry-level GX, but the quality and shifting precision is fantastic. I highly recommend this shifter to anyone with a SRAM Eagle Drivetrain.

Several years ago, my mechanic at my LBS told me that one of the best upgrades you can do to your drivetrain is the shifter. Coming from the XO1 1x11 drivetrain, I was quick to upgrade the stock GX components on my new 2018 Scott Spark 900. I have several hundred miles on my new ride and I can attest to the quality, precision, & fit and finish of this shifter. Every single shift is fast, smooth, crisp, and precise.

Installation was quick and simple. I just removed the old shifter and pulled the cable out of the housing. Putting the new shifter on was just as easy, having only to slide the new cable through the housing and route it correctly through the rear derailleur. After 3-4 rides, I had to adjust the cable tension with 2-3 turns of the tension collar up by the shifter (normal cable stretch).
Very satisfied and happy with this SRAM Eagle 12 speed shifter.

The SRAM Eagle X01 12 Speed Cassette is truly a work of engineering and manufacturing art! It still blows my mind that this is CNC'd out of one solid block of stainless steel is mind-blowing. At only 275 grams, this cassette is a must-have over the cheaper and heavier SRAM GX components. I am super impressed with this cassette and after several hundred hard fast miles, I am even more blown away by the quality. The x-glide technology just plain works. The chain moves up and down the cassette with ease. Even when the cassette has mud, grit, sand, and grass caked in it...still, no problem at all. Very impressed.

Installation was very simple with the now common SRAM XD driver. Just crank the old one-off, and spin the new one on, tighten and go!

SRAM has hit it out of the park with this cassette.
