Mountain bike tires are and will forever be the most controversial topic in mountain biking. Whether you are looking for a lightweight and fast-rolling tire or a super grippy and tough tire for your mountain bike, the options are endless, to say the least. To make it worse, every company says their design is what you need to be running. Upgrading can be hard but take a real consumers word for it. Kali Bagby, recently upgraded to a Schwalbe Hans Dampf. Let's see what they thought!

Rider Review

Hans Dampf German Tire Yah (Say with German Accent)

Original Nobby Nics were good grippy and light. Though the sidewalls could not handle my 220 lbs of wreckless might. So far the new Hans Dampf sits in the rear and can handle my typically poor line choice with the Magic Mary leading the way in the front screaming with her rubber souled voice.

Conclusion

"I usually see the sweet and highly recommended Maxxis Tires on these Midwest Trails. Maybe just wanted to be a little different and hope that these Schwalbes are tough as nails, yeah I’m that guy still sporting the midfats and on a fully even now with the Hans Dampf in the back, I should be able to turn the climbs up to Eleven!" - K.
