RockShox has unveiled its latest offering in the world of downhill mountain biking with the introduction of the new RockShox BoXXer fork. Building on a legacy of speed and performance, the new BoXXer is designed to provide riders with unparalleled confidence and control without compromising on comfort. With input from elite athletes and extensive development, RockShox has created a fork that delivers the perfect balance of stiffness, compliance, and ride quality.
The new BoXXer features a redesigned 38mm chassis, optimized for bending and torsional stiffness ratios. This ensures maximum control and steering precision while still providing a comfortable ride. The fork's 38mm stanchions harmonize with the lowers to deliver ideal ride characteristics and accept steering input without causing excessive hand fatigue.
One of the standout features of the new BoXXer is the introduction of the DebonAir+ twin tube air spring. This innovative design offers a coil-like feel, providing unmatched responsiveness and suppleness. The air spring is also highly tunable, allowing riders to adjust air pressure and Bottomless Tokens to fine-tune their suspension performance.
To keep the fork running smoothly, RockShox has implemented a new lubrication system. Oil flow ports near the bottom of the upper tubes constantly circulate lubricant through the bushings, reducing friction and ensuring consistent performance. The fork's bushings also incorporate ButterCups, which dampen high-frequency vibrations and provide a smoother ride.
The new BoXXer is available in two models: BoXXer Ultimate and BoXXer. The BoXXer Ultimate features the Charger 3 RC2 damper with ButterCups, while the BoXXer is equipped with the Charger 3 RC damper. Both models come with the DebonAir+ twin tube air spring and are compatible with 27.5" and 29" wheel sizes.
The BoXXer Ultimate has a weight of 2,840g (200mm travel, 48mm offset), while the BoXXer weighs 2,680g (200mm travel, 48mm offset). The forks are available in various travel options, including 180mm, 190mm, and 200mm. The fork offset ranges from 44mm to 52mm, depending on the wheel size and preference.
With the introduction of the new RockShox BoXXer, RockShox continues to push the boundaries of downhill mountain bike suspension technology. The redesigned chassis, innovative DebonAir+ twin tube air spring, and advanced damper options provide riders with the confidence, control, and comfort they need to tackle the most challenging terrains.
Whether you're a professional racer or a bike park enthusiast, the new BoXXer offers the perfect blend of performance and approachability. With its superior ride quality, tunability, and reliable construction, the BoXXer sets a new standard for downhill mountain bike forks. Get ready to experience smoother, faster, and more controlled rides with the new BoXXer from RockShox.
