Revel Bikes kicks off 2025 with a focused update to one of their most popular models—the Rascal. Enter the Rascal SL, a refined, lighter version of their do-it-all 29er trail bike. There’s no geometry change or dramatic redesign—just smart improvements to an already dialed platform, now available in lighter form with fresh new colors and new build kit options.
The Rascal has always balanced capability and efficiency, with 130mm of rear travel paired to a 140mm fork and the consistent, confident ride feel of Revel’s Canfield Balance Formula (CBF) suspension platform. For 2025, the new Rascal SL frame sheds nearly a pound, coming in at 7.39 lb (3.35 kg) for a size large (with shock, UDH, axle, and seat clamp).
This lighter chassis retains the same travel and progressive geometry as the standard Rascal, giving riders a snappier bike on climbs without sacrificing its already playful character or trail versatility. It’s available in two fresh colors:
The original Rascal remains in the lineup as a more value-focused option in a single color, Pinot Gnar (Purple), and will be offered with the Basecamp build kit.
For riders looking to build their own dream setup, Revel is offering the Rascal SL as a frame kit for $3,699, including a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate rear shock (210x50mm).
Revel has streamlined its build kit lineup for the Rascal SL, offering three distinct spec levels that balance performance, durability, and price. All weights listed are for size large complete bikes:
Frame Only Kit – $3,699

Super Deluxe Ultimate Shock (210x50mm)

It’s one of Revel’s core design features and a major reason the Rascal platform has remained so well-regarded over the years. We made a whole video about it here!
The 2025 Rascal SL is a smart evolution of a proven platform. With its lighter frame, updated build kits, and clean new color options, it brings meaningful improvements without losing what made the Rascal such a capable and fun trail bike in the first place.
Whether you’re after a fully built bike or looking to build it up yourself, the Rascal SL offers a refined ride with modern performance at every level.
