Dialing in your suspension can be a bit tricky. But, MRP has your bike with the Ramp Control Cartridge which allows you to have either a linear or progressive fork by a flip of a switch. Our friend, Andrew, just threw one into their fork. See what they think!
I purchased this product to use with my 2016 Rockshox Revalation fork that is on a Specialized Camber Comp bike. My bike came stock with two tokens installed and I have played around with adjusting the psi but could never find a sweet spot. I ride smooth dirt trails most of the time but hit the gnarly stuff every month at least. I don’t need much travel usually so I tend to run my shocks softer for a more plush ride.
This cartridge has enabled me to switch between running softer (using more travel) and adding ‘progression’ so I won’t bottom out on the bumpier trails like at Post Canyon.
I am a beginner when it comes to working on my bike and this was the first time I worked on my fork other than adjusting psi and the rebound. I needed a 24mm smooth sided socket for this project but the Park Tool 24mm socket was not very tight. I ended up buying a CNC machined 24mm socket on eBay specifically made for bike forks. This socket was a lot tighter and easily got the job done. Once I had the correct tools this project only took 15 minutes. MRP has great install videos on YouTube to make it even easier.
All in all this product is well worth the price and honestly saved me from upgrading my fork. I’m very pleased and have already recommended this product to my family and friends. I have posted pictures of the cartridge installed and the CNC machined 24mm socket and the Park Tool socket for comparison. Overall, a great purchase.
