I have recently made the switch to a Maxxis Minion DHRII Exo Dual Compound Tire 2.6" tire on my 2019 Canyon Spectral. This tire is super rad as a back tire and provides tons of grip in the turns, excellent braking, and bites hard during the climbs. It pairs perfectly with a Maxxis Minion DHF in the front.
I have the tire mounted to an E*Thirteen LG1r Enduro carbon wheel with 30mm inner diameter and it seated up perfectly and has held air with no issues.
I was previously running 2.4" DHRII's front and back as the bike was spec'd from the factory. The 2.6's allow for lower pressures to be run which gives the bike more grip in my home trails in the Hawes trail system in Mesa, AZ which has a lot of loose over hard terrain mixed with granite rock features.
The other big improvement the 2.6" gives is a reduction in trail chatter and better small bump sensitivity which I have seen improve my times all around since making the switch.
The EXO sidewalls and dual compound rubber are wicked tough and I never hesitate to roll through any feature.
If you are looking for a super fast rolling XC tire this isn't the rubber your looking for. But if you want a tough tire that will allow you to shred the gnar, rail the berms, and send it into infinity then this is the tire you want!!
