Introduction

I've ridden bikes most my life but only started true mountain biking last year on some local trails in Alabama. I didn't think they would be so challenging until I actually got a chance to ride them. I have a hardtail that has front suspension but quickly saw where I would benefit from a full suspension bike. I found a used 2014 Trek Remedy 7 in great shape. Oh, what a difference.

Performance

I started watching MTB videos and saw a seat post that could drop when you needed it to. What was this magical thing?? I saw how they could instantly get out of the way when needed and 'poof!', back in place when you needed it back. I just had to add this to my bike feeling it would have endless benefits. I found a good selection and price ranges on Worldwide Cyclery. I finally settled on the KS LEV Integra Dropper Seat post (31.6mm, 100mm Travel) after all the good reviews I've read about it. The dropper post and fiber grip were shipped quick and I couldn’t' wait to install it and give it a go. After measuring everything half a dozen times to make sure I was installing it correctly, I was back in the saddle. The remote for ‘unleashing the magic’ works great and is mounted out of the way enough to get to my brakes and shifters when needed.

UNREAL!!! Yes, it was not cheap but I felt it would be worth it and yes, I would buy it all over again. The KS Lev Integra makes drops, downhilling and corning sooo much more fun and I'm able to let go of the anxiety of the possibility of my saddle launching me over the bars. It feels so much better to be able to yell out when riding 'Oh, yeah!!' instead of 'Oh, sh#%!'.
