Not only is the color of the dropper post gold, but the Fox Transfer post is the gold standard when it comes to a durable dropper post. Our friend, Steven, has been running it for some time now. See what they think!
The Fox Transfer is amazing! I bought my first Fox transfer in 2018 and loved it! I bought the performance elite to save a few bucks. It worked flawlessly for over 3 years with absolutely no service whatsoever. I know, it should be serviced more often. I'm just stating how absolutely bulletproof it is. I only bought a new one because I wanted a bit more travel. I went up to the 200-millimeter version. And let's be real here... Everyone needs a little Kashima in their lives!
I ride a 2018 Santa Cruz Tallboy. I bought the base model aluminum frame and have been upgrading something every year. Last year I splurged on the Fox Factory 34 (and Industry Nine Enduro S Wheelset... The Hydra hub is f'n amazing and I had no idea how much it would make a difference climbing. But I digress....).
With the new Fox Transfer Factory, my bike looks amazing! (A Fox Factory shock will be the last piece of the Kashima puzzle!) I kept my Wolf Tooth light action re-mote because I love it!
I've never had the slightest issue with it.
I also replaced the stock SRAM Level brakes with Sram G2 RSC's and the new SRAM HS2 rotors. I stuck with the 180mm rotors as I live in Houston, Texas, and don't really have a need to go bigger. I had a 3 level cervical fusion back in February and I haven't been cleared to ride trails yet, so I can't yet speak to the actual braking power and feel, but the install was dead easy with the SRAM Stealthamajig. The adjustability is pretty damn nice. The Bleeding was super easy and clean with the bleeding edge system. I also ordered a matchmaker X adapter for my GX shifter before finding out that the brakes came with one. Oh well, now I have a spare. My cockpit looks so much cleaner with the matchmaker system.
I also ordered a pair of Ketl Mtn Vent Lightweight active pants and they are great! As I said, I live in Houston where it's hotter than balls in the summer and I must say that these pants keep them nice, cool, and breezy. They are very comfy with the stretchiness (it's fine, we can make new words...) and how light they are.
As for customer service with Worldwide Cyclery, they are simply second to none! I have called Aiden and the other folks so many times that I can't count. I've called for suggestions on things I haven't even bought from them and they are always willing to help. They always have great answers and advice! It's great to have experts on the line to ask questions when ordering things online.
As we all know, compatibility issues are sometimes a bitch. I was wanting to slacken the head angle on my bike and was about to order a Cane Creek angle set and called fist and found out that my Tallboy with an IS headset wasn't compatible. That sucked, but they saved me from spending the cash having to return it. I have had to return a couple of things in the past and they made it incredibly easy. I have bought, literally, thousands of dollars worth of parts from them and will continue to do so in the future. They have competitive prices and amazing customer service! Thanks Worldwide!
All in all, I strongly believe the Fox transfer is the golden standard in the industry. Not only is it really easy to install, it's also really reliable.
