Every so often, we are going to do a feature on all of the employees here who make this shop operate in the buttery smooth fashion that it does. We like to think that we're all pretty rad dudes, and we hope you enjoy getting to know the hard-working team at Worldwide Cyclery. Our first outstanding employee is none other than Mr. Andy Anderson, sales manager extraordinaire who will destroy you on the links. Just make sure you don't run into Randy, he's a completely different specimen...
Job Title: WC Shop Manager
What is the craziest thing you have ever done: Gone streaking through campsites
If you could ride any bike on our showroom, it would be: My Yeti SB5.5 : ) It is built with all parts I like, and the long travel 29er seems to fit me perfectly. The bike climbs like a champ and it can descend anything! I don't think I will ever put this bike close to what it is capable of doing but it's nice knowing I can push my personal limits as far as I want.
What is your favorite part about working at Worldwide Cyclery: Being able to see friends at work and ride nice bikes that I would normally never be able to.
Favorite non MTB activity: Golf and croquet
Drink of choice: IPA if I am with the boys, Vodka soda if I am trying to catch up.
You can usually catch me listening to: Well I run the music in the shop and T Swift and Bieber are common, so......
Favorite line from a movie: "Don't put it out with your boots, Ted" - Billy Madison
Typical weekend activities include: Playing with my dogs, riding bikes, playing golf, drinking beer.
You can eat one meal for the rest of your life, what is it: Asian food, more specifically orange chicken and rice.
If you could hang out with one person for a day (who doesn't have to be alive) who would it be and why: Arnold Palmer. It would be awesome to not only hang out with a successful golf legend, but a guy that was a successful businessman as well. That is my ultimate goal, to be competitive at a sport while also being very business savvy.
Name 3 things on your bucket list: Play a PGA Tour event, go on a European backpacking trip, and skydive
Any words of wisdom or closing thoughts: If you crash, make sure you get a good scar and do it again. Chicks dig scars.
