In this customer review, our good customer Lorin talks about his new KS LEV Integra dropper post and how it compares to other posts he has used in the past, like the X-Fusion Hilo, Gravity Dropper Turbo LP, KS 950i and Rockshox Reverb. That is a wide variety of different dropper posts, so let's see how the KS LEV Integra shaped up.
--
I've been a huge fan of dropper posts from the time they came out. On my hard tails I've had a X-Fusion Hilo and a Gravity Dropper Turbo LP. On my full suspension bike I've had a KS 950i and a RockShox Reverb.
The X-Fusion was great but developed a sag issue. I'm still using the Gravity Dropper and I love its simplicity.
I wasn't overly impressed with the RockShox Reverb. I felt it had a slow return. I loved my 950i, so based on dependability of the 950i I decided to go ahead with the KS Lev Integra.
I was first impressed with its fast and smooth, return and, in my personal belief, very minimal if any side play that dropper posts are notorious for. Being used to the KS handlebar remote I had no issues with the remote that comes with the Integra. I personally like it.
I like that the cable return spring where the cable connects to the post is robust, more so then the 950i.
I also really like the simplicity of how the cable attaches to the post, it's very easy to connect and disconnect.
Now to what I don't like.
After I installed the post and had gone for a couple rides, absolutely hassle free, I had to let it sit for a couple weeks. On the ride after letting it sit I found the return speed to be sluggish. After the ride I checked the air pressure and found it had lost about 100 psi. I aired it back up and it worked perfect.
I also found the valve to be a bit low into the post and that made it hard to thread my pump nozzle. I'm not worried about the loss in pressure because KS customer service has always been good to me.
Overall I'm very happy with the post and intend on using for years to come. I also want to give a shout out to Worldwide Cyclery. I didn't input my address correctly during the check out and so there was a delivery issue. I called Worldwide Cyclery and they worked it out for me at no extra cost to me. The rep was friendly and helpful. Thanks again for the help!
