We are back again for your Top 5 Products. This month we have a collection of products that range from tools to help you work on your bike, to upgrades and replacement parts. These are picked based off what is trending and what we personally think are hot products for the month.
The OneUp components dropper has been a great seller for us, this size, in particular, we are showing sold the most. We have done a video and blog on this dropper alone and for the price its a real hard dropper to beat. One of the coolest features is the post is able to be shimmed down to any exact dropper measurement that works for you. Say you have some extra room on a 150mm post, but not enough to fit a 170mm post, no problem! The OneUp dropper can be shimmed to be a 162mm dropper post and you can get the most amount of drop that works for you and your bike.
The OneUp Components dropper has become one of our favorite droppers around the shop, and is available in both 30.9 & 31.6 sizes, with 150mm or 170mm travel options. Both posts can be shimmed down, with a great OneUp video tutorial you can do this in 3 minutes. Also basic maintenance like lubing up the seal after a few washes is made really easy as well! This could be the best drop for your buck currently on the market!
Any bike rider who plans on doing some basic maintenance of their own, a proper bike stand is super helpful! From changing tires to cleaning your bike and chain, once you use a bike stand doing anything on the ground is not fun. The PSC-10 stand is a great stand for the house. It has the nicer clamp head, working on all types of bikes from standard posts, dropper posts, and even carbon road bike seatmasts. The stand can also be dropped into storage mode, with the top telescoping down and the legs folding up.
The Gnar Dog volume spacer for Rockshox Super Deluxe/ Deluxe shocks. This will help you tune how progressive your shock is at the end of its stroke. Volume spacers are a great and cheap tool to help tune your suspension, and just about all bikes depending on riding style could use more or less volume. The Super Deluxe and Deluxe shocks changed the volume spacer style, and the normal spacer kit comes with 3 flat spacers, and normally that is all the shaft has room for. With the Gnar dog, it equals 2.5 of those flat spacers but only takes up the room on one flat spacer as it is molded to specifically fit the top of the shock taking up the most air volume possible. The gnar dog fits all Rockshox Super Deluxe or Deluxe shocks that I know of and is a great way to tune your suspension for you!
The Dt Swiss 54t ratchet upgrade kit has been one of our best sellers for almost a full year now. If you have DT Swiss 350, 240, 180 hubs, or any hub manufactured by DT Swiss with a Ratchet System, you can increase your bikes engagement significantly for just $99! Most hubs come with an 18t ratchet kit, making your point of engagement at 20 degrees. With the 54t ratchet kit, it knocks that down to 6.66 degrees! If you are not familiar with what engagement is, its the dead zone when you begin to pedal before the hub is engaged and start moving forward. This is extremely useful in technical climbs or getting a quick pedal out of a corner. My seem like a small part but once you ride with higher engagement, going back to a low engagement makes your bike feel low end.
The E13 cassettes have been a great upgrade or replacement for any 11-speed drivetrain for a while now. The range of the e13 Trs+ cassette is 9-46t, so increasing range on both ends from your standard 11-speed 10-42t. The 9-46t range is actually 511%, making it greater the Sram Eagle, and used on 11 speed! The cassette does need to use an XD Driver and is made in a 2 piece design. This is a great upgrade to reduce some weight or gain range, but also a great replacement to buy once you have worn out your 11-speed cassette. Coming in a 339g for the TRS+ and 287g for the nicer TRSr at $314.10. The e13 cassette looks good all black, shifts great, and gets you more range, what's not to love?
Check back next month for what products we see going out our doors, and what could possibly make your riding experience better. See you on the trails!
