The Maxhit Zero-Stack/External Cup headset is a unique patented Enduro innovation; where the bearing is actually the component. Maxhit headset bearings are designed to press directly into your bicycles headtube, eliminating the need for the aluminum cups that are traditionally used to carry the bearings. This unique design frees-up space for much larger balls that more than double the load capacity compared to standard headset bearings. The kit includes fork crown race and upper split-ring, upper bearing cap, and a hidden topcap preload adjuster.
- Maxhit headset bearings are designed to press directly into your bicycles headtube, eliminating the need for the aluminum cups that are traditionally used to carry the bearings
- For 1-1/8" x 1-1/2" tapered fork steerer tubes (44mm Upper / 56mm Lower ID head tube framesets
- Machined entirely from 440C stainless steel and guaranteed for life, Maxhit headset bearings include proprietary double-lip labyrinth seals and Enduros extra high pressure waterproof grease to ensure a lifetime of trouble-free, heavy duty performance
- The headset's bearings begin with chromium steel, Black Oxide finish A/C type and then offer full 440C stainless steel at the top
- Engineered with the largest balls possible and dual lip seals riding in a micro-groove for ultimate protection against sweat and the elements
- Enduro Angular contact bearings are designed so that the balls are engaged to spread the force over a larger surface area for minimizing wear
