Salsa Cycles is certainly not a new brand by any means, but they are a new brand for Worldwide Cyclery as well as new to the Trail and Enduro mountain bike category. Founded in 1982, Salsa has been bicycle frames for almost 40 years now! With a wide range of bikes to choose from, we are able to offer more levels of bikes to more of our customers. With hard-tail mountain bikes around the $1,300 range, and full suspension bikes starting around the $3,000 range, we can help get more people stoked on riding mountain bikes. Salsa also offers more than just mountain bikes, as they are well known in the adventure bike space, bikes made for endurance bike-packing like the Cutthroat that excel in races like the Tour Divide, as well as gravel bikes like the Warbird that are great for events like the Dirty Kanza 200 and the Land Run 100. You like fat bikes, Salsa makes those too! There is just about a Salsa bike out there for your style of riding.
At Worldwide Cyclery, we love to focus on the trail and enduro style of bikes, and Salsa recently came out with the Blackthorn and Cassidy. The Blackthorn is a 140mm rear 160mm front travel all mountain crushing, machine of a bike, and the Cassidy is even bigger with 165mm rear and 180mm front travel, made to pedal to the top of the steepest, roughest trails, and simply demolish everything on the way down. Both bikes feature the newest, most aggressive modern geometry with all the buzz words like long, low, slack and did we mention long?
