SRAM NX Eagle

NX Eagle is the entry point into the SRAM Eagle 12-speed ecosystem, and it's a genuinely impressive value. You get the same 500% gear range and 10-52t cassette as the rest of the Eagle lineup at a price that's hard to argue with. The biggest practical advantage of NX over the other Eagle tiers is that it uses a traditional XD-compatible freehub body -- which means it's the easiest upgrade path if you're coming from an older bike that doesn't have an XD driver.

The tradeoffs are real: NX is heavier than GX and above, and the shifter and derailleur use more plastic in their construction. For riders who are budget-conscious or just getting into 12-speed, NX Eagle is a solid choice. For riders who are going to ride hard and want something that holds up better over time, GX Eagle is worth the extra spend.
