SRAM Eagle Drivetrain

SRAM Eagle was the first 12-speed mountain bike drivetrain, and it changed the game. A single chainring up front, a 10-52t cassette out back, and a 500% gear range that covers everything from steep climbs to flat-out descents. The Eagle lineup has expanded a lot since then, and there's now a tier for basically every budget and riding style. We stock the full range -- individual components and complete groupsets.

Which SRAM Eagle Tier Is Right for You?

We did a full SRAM Eagle groupset comparison that breaks down every tier in detail -- it's the best place to start if you're not sure which level to buy. The short version:

  • NX Eagle: The entry point. Uses a traditional freehub so it's the easiest upgrade path for older bikes. Great value for the money.
  • GX Eagle: The sweet spot. Most riders don't need anything more than GX -- it's light, reliable, and shifts great at a price that makes sense.
  • X01 Eagle: For riders who want to save weight without going full race-spec. Lighter cassette, nicer materials, same great shifting.
  • XX1 Eagle: The lightest mechanical Eagle option. Carbon fiber bits, gold cassette, and the kind of weight savings that matter if you're racing or just obsessed with grams.
  • Eagle AXS: Fully wireless shifting via Bluetooth. No cables, no housing, shifts under load, and you can customize shift patterns via the app. The T-Type Transmission takes it further with a frame-integrated derailleur mount for even more robustness.
