Our Carbon E-Bar is 20% more compliant than other carbon handlebars. That means more comfort and less fatigue on longer rides.. This is our most compliant handlebar yet and it’s equipped with integrated ports for E-Bike controls. Our patented oval design delivers a more comfortable ride without giving up any steering response or strength. The patented oval profile of all our handlebars minimizes arm pump with vertical compliance and maximizes steering response with lateral stiffness. The OneUp Carbon E-Bar is 20% more compliant than our competitors’ bars. That’s because the oval bar profile narrows to just 20mm to maximize vertical compliance. For reference, the thinnest portion of a traditional handlebar is 22.2mm. Carbon E-Bar has internal routing for Shimano STEPS switch units and it passes the stringent Zedler E-MTB Advanced Plus standard and the international DH standard (ASTM Cat. 5 Downhill). COMPATIBILITY The OneUp E-Bar features internal routing for Shimano STEPS switch units and all other switch units with a connector diameter less than 6.5mm. The wire port diameter in the bar is 6.5mm and the minimum switch wire length required to internally route is 650mm. Specialized, Bosch or Rocky Mountain remote power mode controllers cannot be internally routed through the Carbon E-Bar. If you have a switch with a removable wire (EP8 or E8000) you can install a 650mm or longer Shimano EW-SD50 wire. The Orbea Rise does not have a handlebar mounted display unit as it connects to your smartphone. It has the EW-EN100 junction and removable EW-SD50 wire. If you don’t have a removable wire on your switch, you need to buy a new switch with a removable wire (SW-E7000-L) with a wire length of at least 700mm. OneUp Components EDC Top Cap, Blue The EDC Cap Kit includes the worlds lightest headset top cap (4.2g), and an EDC steerer plug with drain hole which keeps crud out of your steerer. Top caps are compatible with all 1-1/8" aluminum steerer tubes. The EDC steerer plug is required for EDC tool storage and is compatible with most aluminum tapered steerer tubes.  Check fork compatibility.   KIT INCLUDES EDC TOP CAP EDC steerer plug 2x 1mm, 3mm, & 5mm Headset Spacers    INSTALL THE EDC TOP CAP You need a minimum of 5mm of headset spacer above the stem and your steerer tube should be 1-2mm below the top of this spacer. Apply a small amount of grease to your newly cut thread and screw in your new EDC top cap. The Top Cap interface uses a standard cassette lockring tool. You do not need to apply much torque as you are only preloading the bearings. (Your stem pinch bolts are what holds your fork in place). The EDC multitool contains a top cap tightening tool. So even when riding you always have the ability to tighten your headset if need be.  Align your stem and tighten your stem bolts to the manufacturers recommended torque.  The final step is to insert the plastic bung/plug into the bottom of your fork. Turn your 8mm hex sideways and use it to push the plug into the fork by pulling the 8mm towards your chest. This piece holds the bottom of the EDC Tool and stops it from rattling. It also keeps dirt out of your fork and has a small drain hole. OneUp Components EDC Top Cap, Orange The EDC Cap Kit includes the worlds lightest headset top cap (4.2g), and an EDC steerer plug with drain hole which keeps crud out of your steerer. Top caps are compatible with all 1-1/8" aluminum steerer tubes. The EDC steerer plug is required for EDC tool storage and is compatible with most aluminum tapered steerer tubes.  Check fork compatibility.   KIT INCLUDES EDC TOP CAP EDC steerer plug 2x 1mm, 3mm, & 5mm Headset Spacers    INSTALL THE EDC TOP CAP You need a minimum of 5mm of headset spacer above the stem and your steerer tube should be 1-2mm below the top of this spacer. Apply a small amount of grease to your newly cut thread and screw in your new EDC top cap. The Top Cap interface uses a standard cassette lockring tool. You do not need to apply much torque as you are only preloading the bearings. (Your stem pinch bolts are what holds your fork in place). The EDC multitool contains a top cap tightening tool. So even when riding you always have the ability to tighten your headset if need be.  Align your stem and tighten your stem bolts to the manufacturers recommended torque.  The final step is to insert the plastic bung/plug into the bottom of your fork. Turn your 8mm hex sideways and use it to push the plug into the fork by pulling the 8mm towards your chest. This piece holds the bottom of the EDC Tool and stops it from rattling. It also keeps dirt out of your fork and has a small drain hole.
